Versatile Lean-To Roof Systems
The aluminium lean-to roof is one of the most versatile architectural elements we install. A single-pitched glazed or solid roof fixed to an existing building wall, the lean-to creates sheltered outdoor living space, covered dining areas, carports, garden rooms and simple conservatory structures — all without the complexity and cost of a fully enclosed extension.
We specify advanced aluminium roof technology including the Aliver 2000+ system for glazed lean-to configurations and the Sheerline S3 for premium applications requiring openable ventilation. Both systems feature thermally broken aluminium profiles that reduce heat transfer and prevent the condensation issues that plague older, non-thermally-broken roof systems.
The Sheerline S3 system is particularly notable for its Thermlock® multi-chamber technology, which reduces heat loss by up to 230% compared to traditional conservatory roof designs. Sleek 135mm deep by 50mm wide rafter bars and shallow rafter caps create a clean, minimalist aesthetic, while the system achieves roof projections of up to 4,500mm without needing bolsters — simplifying the structure and reducing the number of components.

SheerVent® Ventilation Technology
The Sheerline S3 system offers optional SheerVent® technology — a flush-fit, thermally broken ventilation panel that integrates seamlessly into the glass roof without compromising the clean aesthetic. SheerVent® uses the same 28mm glazing as the rest of the roof, so when closed, it is virtually indistinguishable from the fixed panels around it.
SheerVent® panels are powered by electric actuators and can be controlled via remote control or activated automatically by an integrated rain sensor. This means your lean-to roof can provide natural ventilation when the weather is fine and close automatically at the first sign of rain — ideal for covered outdoor dining areas and garden rooms where ventilation is essential for comfort.
