Architectural Glazing Performance Standards

  • Roof lanterns: Smart Systems Atlas — spanning up to 6m x 3m without intermediate supports, U-values from 1.2 W/m2K
  • Flat rooflights: Fixed and electrically opening options, U-values from 1.0 W/m2K with triple glazing
  • Structural glass: Minimal framing systems using 12mm-21.5mm laminated toughened glass panels
  • Glass balustrades: Fully compliant with BS 6180:2011, using 15mm or 21.5mm toughened laminated glass
  • Weather performance: All rooflight and lantern systems tested to BS EN 12208 (water tightness) and BS EN 12210 (wind resistance)
  • Drainage: Concealed internal drainage channels on all roof-mounted glazing
